Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to FlatConnect! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the FlatConnect mobile application ("App") operated by Saumya Prakash ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using our App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Important: If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the FlatConnect App.
Description of Service
FlatConnect is a comprehensive apartment management platform designed for residential societies and gated communities. Our service provides:
- Maintenance fee tracking and management
- Automated WhatsApp reminders and notifications
- Digital expense logging and reporting
- UPI-based payment processing
- Resident registration and profile management
- Role-based access control for different user types
- Community communication and announcement features
Communications and Notifications
Society administrators are responsible for configuring notification settings and determining which operational communications are sent to residents through available channels, including in-app notifications, email, and WhatsApp.
By using FlatConnect, users acknowledge that they may receive service-related and society-related communications as configured by their society's authorized administrators.
User Accounts and Registration
Account Creation
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
- One account per person; multiple accounts are not permitted
Account Verification
- Your account may require verification by apartment management or administrators
- We reserve the right to suspend unverified accounts
- Verification helps ensure community safety and accurate resident information
User Conduct and Responsibilities
Acceptable Use
You agree to use FlatConnect only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Share false, misleading, or inappropriate content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or other users' accounts
- Use the App for commercial purposes without authorization
- Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code
- Spam or send unsolicited messages to other users
Community Guidelines
- Respect other residents and maintain civil communication
- Keep personal information accurate and up-to-date
- Report any suspicious or inappropriate behavior
- Follow your apartment complex's specific rules and regulations
Financial Services and Payments
Maintenance Fees
- Maintenance fee amounts are determined by your apartment management
- Payment processing is facilitated through third-party payment providers
- You are responsible for ensuring timely payment of maintenance fees
- Payment history and records are maintained within the App
Payment Security
- We use secure payment processing through trusted third-party providers
- We do not store your complete payment information on our servers
- All financial transactions are encrypted and secured
- Report any unauthorized transactions immediately
Important Payment Notice
FlatConnect facilitates payment processing but is not responsible for payment disputes between residents and apartment management. Any payment-related issues should be resolved directly with your apartment administration.
Financial Data Disclaimer
FlatConnect provides tools to assist in managing society operations, payments, and records. However, FlatConnect does not provide accounting, financial, or legal advice.
All financial data, including dues, payments, balances, and reports, are based on user inputs and system configurations. Users (including society managers and residents) are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy, completeness, and correctness of such data.
FlatConnect shall not be held responsible for any financial discrepancies, losses, or decisions made based on the information provided by the platform. Users are advised to consult qualified accounting or financial professionals for official records, audits, or compliance requirements.
Accuracy Disclaimer
We do not guarantee data accuracy. All data displayed on FlatConnect, including financial records, payment statuses, balances, and reports, is generated based on user-provided inputs and system configurations. While we strive to maintain reliable systems, FlatConnect does not warrant or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data. Users must independently verify all information before relying on it for any purpose.
Liability Limitation for Financial Loss
We are not liable for financial loss. FlatConnect, its developers, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential financial losses arising from the use of this platform. This includes, but is not limited to, losses due to incorrect data entry, miscalculations, payment errors, or reliance on platform-generated reports. Users assume full responsibility for all financial decisions made using FlatConnect.
Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using FlatConnect, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.
Intellectual Property Rights

- FlatConnect and all related content, features, and functionality are owned by us
- Our trademarks, logos, and service marks are protected intellectual property
- You may not copy, modify, or distribute our App or content without permission
User Content
- You retain ownership of content you post or upload to FlatConnect
- By posting content, you grant us a license to use, display, and distribute it within the App
- You represent that you have the right to share any content you post
- We may remove content that violates these Terms or community guidelines
Service Availability and Modifications
Service Availability
- We strive to maintain 99%+ uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service
- Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible
- We are not liable for service interruptions beyond our control
App Updates and Changes
- We may update or modify the App to improve functionality and security
- New features may be added or existing features may be changed
- We will notify users of significant changes through the App or email
- Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the modifications
Termination
Termination by You
- You may delete your account at any time through the App settings
- Account deletion will remove your access to FlatConnect services
- Some information may be retained for legal or operational purposes
Termination by Us
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, if you:
- Violate these Terms of Service
- Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
- Harm other users or the community
- Provide false information during registration
Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
Service Disclaimers
FlatConnect is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement of third-party rights
- Uninterrupted or error-free service
- Accuracy or reliability of information
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FlatConnect and its developers shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
- Damages exceeding the amount paid for our services
- Issues arising from third-party services or integrations
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless FlatConnect and its developers from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the App
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of others
- Any content you post or share through the App
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Dispute Resolution
- Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in India
- Small claims court proceedings are permitted for eligible claims
- Class action lawsuits and jury trials are waived
Changes to Terms of Service
We may modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will:
- Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document
- Notify users through the App or via email
- Allow reasonable time for review before changes take effect
- Consider continued use as acceptance of the updated Terms
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
